Elephant Seals

I took the faimly to Piedras Blancas, just north of San Simeon & Hearst Castle to see the Elephant Seals.

They were there in huge numbers

There were quite a few pups, the biggest danger to the pups on the beach are the large bulls, they will go right over the top of the pups and at the size of these guys I doubt they ever notice.

    I've stopped at that place before. But never during the haul-out season.
    Spectacular day and a ver nice set of images!
