Problem with custom hostname

I have setup a domain at Yahoo following your directions explictly. When I go into the control panel to enter my custom hostname, I get this error statement:
"That hostname doesn't appear to be valid. It doesn't resolve to a hostname. See our help section on custom hostnames."

Please help.
