After seeing some posts by Audrey Woolard, I was inspired to shoot my son and try to pay even more attention to his eyes. I need a lot more practice, but I thought I'd share these. C&C welcome.

What a cute kid! He looks just like you (in your self portrait)! Great eyes, I was just working on some shots of my kiddos concentrating on their eyes...lol. Great pics!:D

Thanks, Shannon and slapshot! Appreciate the look and comments. I wish I could practice with him all day, but just getting a few minutes from him is trouble enough! :D

These are sweet shots, Elaine. Nice catchlights.

Audrey has inspired me too. I'm going to try to get some snaps of my kids today- if they'll let me

Beautiful work, you must be pleased. I have kids and can appreciate the challenges in getting them to pose for you. Always feel like the clock is ticking before they are ready to bolt.

Thanks, Dave! I actually set a timer for this shoot so he would know there was an end in sight! :D That didn't work as well as I'd hoped, so I resorted to a bribe of a popsicle (I know...pathetic parenting practice). Then I got to the point where I said, "OK...just 8 more shots." And then he counts down with me and fares pretty well for the last ones. Poor little guy, I really need to have another baby so I can practice on him/her without such complaints, at least for a few weeks!

I've been looking at Audrey's thread and work, too the past few days, how funny! Haven't had a chance to try anything, you beat me to it! :D

Your exposures and use of light are so consistent. These are great, the eyes really pop in the first, especially. Nice!
