a different photoshop technique for portraits-

this is a combination of ps techniques with one being a deviation of what I had read as a dave hill type process-
some clone and healing brush to touch up-
crop-
soft blending mode with gaussian blur-
some desaturation-
shadows/highlights-
smart sharpen and hard light blending mode with high pass filter-
shadows/highlights-
dodge whites of eyes-
multiply blend with gaussian blur-
smart sharpen and hard light blending mode with high pass filter-
shadow/highlights-
some desaturation-
going through these blending modes will change the hue of the color, will saturate the color, and will darken shadows-
so it is necessary to adjust as you go through the different blending modes-
