painterly path

Thought I'd try to give a painterly effect to this shot...do you think I did too much...too little? Feedback appreciated.

It looks more noisy than painted to me, however that may be a side effect of web resolution. I have not played with any of the paint effects, but it is possible that the the shot you are using has too much fine detail for the filter to do a good job.

Thanks for the feedback! The pic is a high resolution jpeg, but I agree...after I posted it I thought it almost looked oversharpened rather than painted...not what I was going for. I'll try it again or just go back to a regular shot. Thanks!
