I am continuing my so called 'studio' photography with 2 flashes - 150 and 300 W, softbox and an umbrella...
I bought a black background for this test photosession (she has dark eyes and my R1 has not-so-wide dynamic range)
Here are some results - I will be happy to receive critique and comments:

We tried different poses and expressions with the same dress though.
I think that after this test session we will be working on this composition with the cigarette. What do you think?

Yuri, these are beautiful. I'm not really qualified to comment on studio lighting (so I'll let others do that), but I think it must be difficult to bring out the detail in black hair against a black jacket, against a black background and the detail is there.

I really like when you made the switch from the pink lips in #1 to the red lips in the rest of the shots. It suits the sultry style of these shots, particularly with the cigarette and holder. This model has gorgeous eyes. I can't wait to see what you do with the next cigarette shots. More smoke please! I'm imagining a close-up of those red lips with the cigarette holder and soft, billowy smoke rising from her cigarette.
