What is the best setting to capture prop driven planes? I was dropping shutter speed to around 125-250 so the prop would be blurry, but I also missed a great opportunity with the corsair as I only had one chance as it left the show and made one passby. Most of them were blurry. Is that expected? It was the first plane to leave so I didn't have a chance to make any test shots with the lighting that was available at that time. Anyway, here's the shots in cheesy sepia and my dust spots actually help the mood of the pics. Shots were with Nikon D50 and 18-200 VR.

You need to clean your sensor however.

Yes. Anytime you try to capture a moving subject with a relatively slow shutter speed you will get some images that are too blurry. The only remedy is good panning fundamentals and lots of practice--eventually your keeper/trash ratio will improve.
I don't think the dust spots add anything good to your images.
I don't like the dirty dust spots myself, but I do like your old age look
