I tried the method that Harry suggested to get some more "pop" and came up with these. What is everyone's thoughts?

    Major, major improvement. clap.gif

On a few of the shots you have blown highlights (1,3,& 12). The shots are fine but would have been better if you had held the higlights. Two suggestions

    1. In your post work when you have done the curves adjustment layer check the histogram. If you have a definite spike on the right hand side of the histogram, lower the layer's opacity until the spike drops.

    2. When taking the shot use EV adjustments. Looking at your shots in your gallery you have been shooting in shutter priority with no EV adjustments.

I usually shoot aperture priority and I've been using ev adjustments of -0.7 to -1.3 on white subjects at the farm when they are in the light. This will usually hold the highlights.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Harry, I'll go back to my RAW pictures and try it.

OK, I tried it. These two aren't blown out as bad but they would have been better if the original was better
