question about 70-200 f/4L

mine is in the mail, and i was just wondering if it comes with a lense hood? or do i need to buy one seperately?

i bought this one from amazon

    I'm pretty sure you wont get the hood with it. I'm on the fence with a few different 70-200mm right now, post up on how you like it.

    I think all of the L lenses come with hoods. My 70-200 f/4L did.

    70-200 f/4L definitely comes with a hood, just no tripod collar.

    i hope you guys are right. ive been looking for the "packaging details" to confirm that it indeed does come with a hood but i cant find anything except your guy's word.

    From factory - 70-200/4L is coming with hood.
    Of course.
    But from second hand market you got what's offered.
    Period.

    well i recieved my lens today, and sure enough it came with the lense hood and lense case. my worries are over
