OK. I think I have listened and learned! And now I've got down to my best 5!

Please help me choose the one you think has the best chance. Thanks.

I like #4 the best. Wicked tree! Worked up well in B&W. I wish the tree wasn't clipped off on the right of the frame. I wonder if you could clone and leave a little space? The first 2 shots look a little soft to me, I'm not sure if they really are or not. #3 is nice, but it's been done before. #5 is truly original, but it makes me ill to look at it!!! rolleyes1.gif Good luck!!!

    At first I thought
    #3 was the strongest till I hit #4 mwink.gif.....#4 by a LONGSHOT. That's a cool shot dude!

    hmmm,
I agree that 1/2 seem a little soft, though the lighting is nice. (if I were her mother i'd cover her shoulders for a photo like this)

    I like #3 a lot, I think it's a great angle, i like the dof, & b/w.

I think in #4 the clipped tree is distracting since the trunk is centered. maybe cropping the other side to match? it's pretty high key, which is daring imo, good for you.

And I like #5 (can't believe i'm saying that!:D ). The blur certainly adds to the shock value.

I wish you the best in your choice!

    #4, hands down! thumb.gif

I think it's OK to leave the tree centered because I see it functioning as a backdrop. What I would be tempted to do is clone a bit from the top and the right to get the entire tree in the frame.

My second favorite is #3. But I'm such a sucker for these types of shots. :D

    Pete,
    #4. thumb.gif
I only wonder if you have a version with a bit less cropping...

    yes, #4
The symbolism here is very strong. The perfect, straight, white headstones as symbols of war being artificial. While mother nature survives, standing huge and beautiful overlooking man's tragedies.

oh... maybe that sounds a bit much.:D

I like the B&W, and it would be better if the entire tree was in the frame.

Whilst all are good, the fourth is magnificaent and a clear winner inmy opinion. The sense of serenity is fantastic.

#4 for me. #1 is also nice, but not as gripping.
    Best of luck!

I thought about pecking #5, was within a hair of going with #1 or 2, but I won't leave you out on a limb-
