Here's a couple of my better ones from the Tetons last week. This first is one of the best. I got a thumbs up on this one from Thomas Mangelsen which as far as I'm concerned is as high of a compliment as I can receive.

This second one of the Grizzly Sow was done with my adreneline peaking as she was walking towards me and getting a bit close. Maybe if I growled at her she would have been scared off...yeah right!

Great bear shots and I will out of kindness not comment on the doggie shot.

Having lived in NYC and Florida I haven't had a chance to shoot bears in the wild but

I ran into this guy and he has been my role model for my retired life. :ivar

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Really nice shots all, well that Rottie is has a strange look, but I will will forgive him. mwink.gif The only bears in Texas are about 12 hours from me and are rarely seen so I will have to be satisfied with these. thumb.gif

Good shots everyone! I'm yet to find a bear, they just don't live here ne_nau.gif I probably can spot one in a Zoo, but that's not the same as catching one in a wild. I need to get away from this awful place!! :cry

You Florida folks have Black bears all around you. I grew up in Longwood Fl.. we used to see them along the Wekiawa River from time to time. So get out there and start crawling through that palmeto scrub till you find you a Bear. More likely you will find a rattler but hey they taste like chickenmwink.gifmwink.gif

Yes, i can't stand FL, i love all the BIRDS, don't get me wrong, but that's pretty much it for me here. Picking up and moving at this time is not an option, i would do it in a heart beat. Hot, sweaty, germy place doesn't do me any good. I need to be able to be outside to breath and stay alive, not being couped in the house with AC blasting 24/7
But that's besides the point, i'm not even going to start with laws and regs. around here....

    Cheers!! beer.gif
