This is my friend Chris, he produces music and was looking for some new photos for a new CD he's about to release, let me know what you think. No flashes used in these photos, I was looking for the harsh shadow lighting that the sun was providing. Shot with 500cm and Ilford PANF 50.

    meant to comment earlier-

no great fan of the angle shot, but I like #2-

the pose and the contrast and the crop and composition-

    a neat black and white-

    Hi Marko,

I like #2 the best as far as composition, but it seems a touch dark (and maybe a little soft) on the face. Fill flash perhaps? I think you've got a good direction. He almost looks like too nice of a guy to pull off the "serious and moody" look. Maybe try something a little more candid? Just MHO.

    Hi Marko,

I like the idea of the 1st one, but I think the fence takes too much attention and away from your friend. It's just a bit too much for my taste. Maybe if the fence was made out of thinner bars.

I like the second one best I think thumb.gif but there is a small part of me wondering about his expression. It seems as if he may be thinking? trying to look serious? A small part of me thinks that he is about to cry. The focus seems to be off by just a little bit.

I'm not fond of the 3rd setup. The two hands on the hat just look weird to me. Also, not sure how old he is, but he looks very young in this picture. I like the angle with the fence in the photo.
