How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Realy great stuff, nice captures.
I love these shots. I have never photographed a hummer, sure would like to. Too bad about the red car behind the red flowers but what the heck whos got time to plan backgrounds when your shooting crazy little darter. thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif

Nice shots! I've only seen this bird maybe twice in my life, and certainly never managed to stop the wingbeats like you have.

    Very nice set

That shrub looks right up his alley, I imagine he will become a regular customer! Nice shots. That is also a beautiful shrub, do you know what it is called?

Mostly aperture priority at f/5.6 (to give me better working dof on a 85mm 1.4) which worked out to 1/500 sec on a very sunny mid morning. I was fortunate enough for him to hang around long enough to experiment for a few shots although as humming birds do he was darting about constantly. If you would like to look at all the exifs please be my guest you can veiw them at:
