I love these shots. I have never photographed a hummer, sure would like to. Too bad about the red car behind the red flowers but what the heck whos got time to plan backgrounds when your shooting crazy little darter.

Very nice set
Photos that don't suck / 365 / Film & Lomography
I believe it is a "Baja Fairy Duster".
Mostly aperture priority at f/5.6 (to give me better working dof on a 85mm 1.4) which worked out to 1/500 sec on a very sunny mid morning. I was fortunate enough for him to hang around long enough to experiment for a few shots although as humming birds do he was darting about constantly.
