According to legend, the castle on this island is the birthplace of King Arthur. It's a place in Cornwall called Tintagel.
It's a fascinating place and a great hike. If you're ever in the southwest of England, I suggest you visit.

Definitely on my list the next time I got over to England.
Mike, what kind of a tease is this??? I don't expect to be there soon and it sure is beautiful....could you be holding out on us?
I fell in love with the area. Don't be shy, Mike -- show us more photos! I hope you get a chance to go back often. A lot of those little port villages are fascinating too! And did you get a shot of "land's end?" I saw a "green flash" there when I was visiting! Made it even more memorable. The only complaint I have about the area was that at the B&B where we were staying we were awoken with the loudest squawking of sea gulls I've ever heard in my life.:-)
