I know... another which lens thread!!!!
SORRY....
But I really do need some advice on lenses. I am looking to buy the best possible lens for portrait (both studio and on location) photography. The lens should also be good for weddings (so at least 2.8).
I will be purchasing a Nikon D200 (or Fuji S5) at the same time so it should compliment this camera.
I would really appreciate some advice as I am getting confused with all the options (Nikon, Sigma etc...)
Cheers.

Thanks for the reply... All the lenses that I have been thinking off
I love the look of the 85mm 1.4, I know it is worth the $$$ I am wondering if I had the 50mm 1.4 and the 85mm 1.4 would that be enough for the majority of situations? Would I need longer reach? woudl I need to go wider?
remember mainly for portrait work in a studio or on location. would the 105mm be to long in most situations?
If you get the 85/1.4 (a very special-purpose portrait lens in my estimation), a better complement may be the Nikkor 35/f2.
Hi Mate,
By this do you mean it has limited versatility?
Cheers.
