Hi, I've just spent a lovely week on holiday with the family down in Dorset on the south coast of England. Its coastline has recently been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status due to it's extraordinary geology.
I've taken an overwhelming amount of images, but here are two I've so far managed to PP.
This was taken at a bay at Seatown, where an abundance of fossils are easily found.:-
This was taken at Durdle Door:-
There's plenty more to come, eventually :wink
Thanks for looking,
Charlie

Thanks Schmoo, I was certainly blessed with a good sky that night, these are some of the first pics I've taken with my new 1DS and there's certainly a lot of detail in there, however I'm really not happy with my 17-40L now, it's so soft around the edges it's beginning to really annoy me.
I didn't find any fossils, I was too busy with my camera, but my father-in-law was of hunting and found some ammonites.
Here's a link to a site showing some finds:-

Hi Andy, thanks, it's certainly a well photographed location, I had seen a picture taken by someone else with the sun setting through the arch, however it must have been during winter as the sun set behind the mainland whilst I was there, still I was chuffed with the cloud formations.
