I stole this from one of Bryan's post's to Ginger.

pre·dom·i·nant Pronunciation Key (pribreve.gif-dobreve.gifmprime.gifschwa.gif-nschwa.gifnt)
adj.
  1. Having greatest ascendancy, importance, influence, authority, or force. See Synonyms at dominant.
  2. Most common or conspicuous; main or prevalent: the predominant color in a design.
So after reading this, I come up with 2 types of photos.

1. The kind where most of the colors same.

2. The kind where one color really stands out, but isn't all over the place.

I'm guessing both are OK. I'm just looking for other's opinions before I go
shooting. I'd hate to spend time trying to take one kind of pic, when the
other was the one the challenge was looking for.

It's sufficiently vague that you can interpret it any way you want.

Damn! Both are stunning! I like the arch the two paddles make.

Thanks. Of course, neither was taken during the challenge period.

The forest is a very nice shot but the kayakers photo is more unique. The natural yellows of their clothing and the paddle are predominant with the water as background. Really nice shot!
