My LPS#6 entry addendum

Instead of hanging up the ol’ camera bag and calling it quits (just yet) I have decided instead to try to lighten up and begin the next round of challenges with a personal challenge within the Challenges. The challenge of mine is to make Shay laugh.

30 - sherstone - "Rail Meat"
Lean! hahaha I like to laugh and this let me do that :D

So, instead of yearning and longing for the ultimate Shay approval like:

6 - seastack - Edge of Tides
Sweet mercy! :bow I am in awe!

Or

14 - vandana - "Soaring high"
Sweet mercy! :bow Wow!

Or

33 - Greensquared - Soil Sample
Slam dunk! The top of my top 10. Brilliant!

I am looking for something like:

13 – fashiznitsngrins – Nude-le Indulgence
Visually it lacks everything. A 40:1 vertical and horizontal crop would help some, but not much. Feels like you are on the wrong side of the shot and need to be on the other side, but it won’t matter, because it’s still wouldn’t work for me. I find the shadow of the noodle across her forehead distracts away from the overall message. But it did make me laugh! :D

And as a side note: I am not poking fun at Shay, because as much as they may hurt (like an open, gaping wound), his criticisms are accurate and therefore I am only making fun of myself and my shortcomings (of which I have an abundance).

Good luck to all!

LOVE IT! Nailed the theme for sure! Great DOF, although your color tones seem a bit unnaturally orange. rolleyes1.gif Keep up the gorgeous work!

LMAO when I read the thread! It was a bit confusing until I saw your purpose for the picture.

Bet you will get lots of smiles! You have certainly captured curvy!

Thanks for all of the replies. I started the day off nearly in tears and now I'm all smiles. I made myself laugh when I thought this up - now it's just nice to know that I have put a smile on others' faces too!! clap.gif

Well the noodles at the bottom third of the photo lack dof and I need to point out this is a family friendly site. The noodle to your models left chest area is revealing a little to much. :D

This is funny...and a clever idea!

But, I don't think the picture has a "winning quality" to it. I know it was probably difficult to arrange all the noodles the way you wanted them but aside from that it just looks like a snapshot. Just doesn't have the composition.

Thanks for the input Erich. Do you think if I added the seasoning packet to the noodles, that would add the necessary "missing ingredient"?
