In Southern Idaho and Northern Nevada there is a mountainous region called the Owyhees. This area contains the most remote river canyons and gorges in the United States outside of Alaska. It also contains the largest remaining herds of California Bighorn Sheep.

    Thanks Marina. Thanks John.
Marina I tried pushing the contrast a bit but the highlites get very blown and loose details. I'll try working the contrast from the other direction. Thanks again. Albert

Neat pic. The white on the snout seems a bit hot but other than that a great B & W treatment. It has nice detail; especially in the horn.

I am not a big fan of B&W, but it works with this image. Nice healthy looking ram.thumb.gif

I thought the same thing. Often real close ups of large mammals reveal imperfections with their fur, horns/antlers, etc. This dude looks to be in tip top shape.

Good capture in some difficult lighting.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
