wonderful colors and love the DOF here. may be your best backyard shot yet! saturation could use a bump but that's personal taste. Definitely a keeper!!! clap.gif

Thanks, Lynne! You're totally right about the saturation...thanks for noticing that. I didn't go overboard, but do you think this is better?

I really like this shot, pretty armonic, and I love how the light is bouncing on his face (I guess) and the second one looks better for me! thumb.gif Congrats! :D

    Love this too!

It's more or less what people already said: all the stuff very well done, like the lighting, sharpness, (capture of) expression. It's all there. I like the composition too, with the sprinkler nicely positioned.

IMHO, if you have stopped down a point or two your aperture, making the background less blurry, it probably would make a cool shot too. I'm thinking the water jets, while still out of focus, would be rendered something more of a dreamy look, I dunno. Please notice this is a suggestion for another shot, it is in no way a critique of this one! :D

    Thanks so much for sharing!
    Take care!

Thanks, everyone! Appreciate the thumb.gif !

Thiago...I understand what you're saying about the DOF, and after seeing the shot on the screen, I wondered about the same thing! These kinds of shots are usually done so fast, without much time for me to try different settings. Mostly I'm happy to capture expressions like this and don't even think about different settings in the moment. :D And if I do, it becomes difficult to recreate the same expression, etc... But, it is something to consider for next time, and the fact that I'm even aware of such things shows me that I've grown at least a little bit with this photography thing!

    Thanks again for the comments!
