    Good stuff! I like these.

I like the lighting and color in #1, but I'm wondering how it would look if it was cropped differently?
#2 looks like she's got a few wild hairs growing out of her head.
    #5 made me smile.

Kari, thanks for a reply :)

Re: #1 - cropped differently in what way? Tighter? If 'yes' - then 'no' (how's that for a clumsy linguistic construction? :D) - I wanted/want this portrait to be 'environmental' in nature - for which an off-white/dirty/empty wall behind the man is critical.

Re: #2 That WAS the reason I too the shot - the frame is regularly shaped, the inside (her hair + the plant) is curly and irregularly shaped. I liked the contrast.

Thanks again for taking time to comment! :)

Now that I've seen your explanation, I can see your point.

    Those are cool!

I like the way you capture the environment as well as the people, and the way your compositions are very against the rules, so to speak. :D

Like #1, it seems to beg for the suggestion of cropping the top off, but to me, the man's face appears to be right in the center of the frame, and it kind of 'radiates' from there. This is cool.

I particularly like #2 as well, it made me move my head right to try to see where she was looking at, or something like that.

There's more neat stuff to find here but those are the ones that I found right away! mwink.gif

    Thanks so much for sharing!
    Take care!
