Digitalizing Thousands of Photographs?

I have tons of old family photographs (most without negatives) and would like to digitalize them. Is there a scanner with a feeder for photos or a place that will digitalize them for a reasonable price?

If others have endeavored to do this before, how have you done it?

Not too familiar with photo scanners that feed the photos themselves. I'm assuming they are around, but would work best if all the photos have the same dimensions

For scanning service, you can try digitalpickle.com with discount for SmugMug members. I believe they can even upload it to your SmugMug account for you.
