I have a lot of galleries and it's getting a bit unwieldy. Is there any way to organize several of the older galleries ones into a collection or something?

sub-categories help
Here is my bread trail... mandybonds > Clients > Weddings > Matt and Amanda. I am wanting to add galleries or folders insided Matt and Amanda gallery to add some organization to their photos...can it be done since their gallery is a sub-categorie?

Sorry, but you can't add an additional level to a gallery.

What you could do is creating a private gallery in your wedding sub-category and put a link to it in the gallery description of your "Matt and Amanda" gallery. This way the gallery wouldn't show up as an additional gallery in the sub-category, but your clients still could easily find it by going to their gallery. If you want to make more than 2 galleries for one client you can apart from linking them all in the gallery description also make a share group to which you link from your client gallery's description.

Hope this helps,

One way to get the levels you want is using the navbar. On the navbar
have a Clients button when clicked a dropdown appears with Weddings,
Events, etc. This would require a category for Weddings, Events, etc.

Clicking the Wedding drop you would land on the category page where you
would have a sub-category for the each wedding like Matt and Amanda and
under that have their galleries.

Make sence?
Clients
Events
Weddings

Weddings category page
Matt and Amanda < sub-cat

Sub-cat page
Before Wedding < gallery
Wedding < gallery
After Wedding < gallery
