Got a couple more shots over at David S85's place last week. I only got around to processing them last night. I think these guys are the most interesting when they just come out of their shells.

They are extremely loud these days. I can hardly even hear the trains over their racket. And more are still emerging around the neighborhood.

Poor Nick had so few cicadas by him, he made the trip over at midnight to get these. And he took a "short break" from work, and even drove 30 miles round-trip to get about a dozen shots. Now that's dedication to photography! His macro rig was larger than the bush one of these cicadas was on. No wonder the bug froze for the shot — must have been frightened right out of his skin!
