Did some work for local comedian today, let me know what you think. I was planning on using natural light but mother nature decided that the first day of Hurricane Season would be good for a tropical depression to come our way. Nice. Anyway I have alot to learn about using flash.......................

Very nice posing Joe. He looks very relaxed and natural in front of the camera in both poses. I'm not an expert at lighting to say the least, but it seems you did a good job of controling the light. You did a good job with his eyeglasses. On my monitor the skin tones are too magenta and the 2nd shot is highly over-saturated. They correct nicely in CS though, so I think you will have a couple of really nice portraits when you are through. Out of curiosity, can I ask you how you managed the very dark black in his shirt? Was this straight out of the camera or adjusted in PS?

He came wearing a very dark shirt and I guess I got lucky with the lighting. Like I said, I'm use to using hotlights but I did not want to melt the guy today so I went with flash. Anyway thanks for the info.
