I like # 3 the best. #1 the hair light looks a bit too strong, I like #2 from a photographic standpoint but I think her hair detracts from her face. #4 is good too, but I think she looks more comfortable in #3.

I have to agree with Shannon...the backlight in #1 gives the shot some tension and interest! You might want to smooth her hair a bit more as the backlight will magnify any stray hairs. (easily PSed out, though). I would like to see a bit more light in the eyes, too.

#3 is incredible, perfect pose, composition, a bit hot on the forehead but soooo close.

I love the glasses shot, too, better light in the eyes. It's a bit "head on" though, and you may want to shoot a little from above?

Don't let my nitpicks take away from the shots though. She is really stunning and you did her justice....just gorgeous!

    Thanks for the comments!

REgarding #1, I updated w/ a couple changes to hair. Thanks! This one I printed as soon as I saw it and came to the conclusion that I loved the bright light for this picture.

RE: #2, she had just come back from getting her hair done so it was all about the hair. mwink.gif

RE: #3, I'm usually happy with my first or second shot. This went on for about 20. Then I grabbed her chin and said "Okay hold still! This is it." I wasn't getting the shot I wanted and this was the last one before I took a break whether I liked it or not.

RE: #4, I wish I had used the same angle as #3 now. I took a break but she said she wanted to take one with her glasses.

Just my two-cents-- but watch your crops. It usually looks better in portraits of women to either crop the bust out completely (zoom in more) or include them completely. For some reason, it's a little jarring to the eye to crop right across the bust. Take a look at the work of some big name portrait shooters (Avedon, H. Newton, A. Newman, Bailey) and you'll see what I mean -- there are exceptions to every 'rule' of course, but I think in general, it looks better to include 'em all or not at all. But again, just my opinion.
