On the campus of the school (John C. Campbell Folk School) they have a couple of very old log cabins and a very grey wood shed. This was taken in the shed. There was a lot of modern stuff piled all around this wagon and, if I had had the time and permission, I would have removed the white picket fencing material. Oh well, it is what it is.
This was taken inside one of the log cabins. The light from the window was very strong and not very diffuse, so I had my "assistant" (a classmate) hold two diffusers in front of the window. That still didn't do it, so I asked her to also stand in front of the window to block some of the light. This was the only way I could figure to get the lighting soft enough and weak enough to not blow out the edge of the table (and as it was, it was a very near thing). I asked my other assistant to hold a couple of reflectors at camera right to help fill in some of the shadows.
EXIF: ISO:100, SS: 13 seconds, f 4.5

I really like the second one. The compostion, lighting and conversion are all excellent.

Your shots look niclely lit, even if you had to modify the lighting with diffusers and reflectors. Nice work!
