Cart Empty - sometimes

I use Firefox 2.0.0.4 (mainly), cookies and java enabled and the cart does the following - seemingly randomly.

It either
1 Works perfectly - say 40%
2 Shows empty after indicating an item has been successfully added. Item shows up after refresh button is hit - say 25%
3 As 2 but item doesn't show after refresh, but shows after another item is added - say 35%
4 As 2 but item doesn't show ever - say a tiny bit more than 0%, very rare but has happened.

And I've just replicated 2 in IE (also cookies and java enabled)

Any suggestions gratefully received as ever.

Any specific galleries you tried?

EDIT: I played around a bit with your birds gallery. What I discovered in FF 1.5 that if you add a photo and select to go to the cart directly the just added image never shows up. Going back to the gallery and again going to the cart will display it.

EDIT2: Bulk adding photos and then directly going to the cart made them show up immeadiately all the time.

It affects all galleries.

The very problem.
The question is, is it my design or is it the shopping cart functionality which is the cause.
Given the number of other posts about the shopping cart........

I cannot replicate, I'll see if anyone else here can.
