I tried looking, but was not able to find anything covering this.

Does smugmug now, or in the future plan to use FTP for uploading to galleries?...would this even be possible.

I am currently using Smugbrowser and it works well, but I am trying to find faster ways to upload 500+ images at a time from weddings.

Thanks

caveat: I'm not a smugmug employee...

    ...but...

I would *highly* doubt that FTP support is in the works. Technically speaking, FTP would be no faster than uploading via any other TCP-based protocol (http included), and it's much more difficult to support on the server side due to complex firewall issues.

You could perhaps give Star*Explorer a try...you have to pay for it, but I believe it supports resuming uploads if you drop a connection.
