Hello everyone, could you please let me know which of these is the stronger entry. C&C welcome, but snake reshoot not possible. Thanks! Emily

The flower is beautifu and definitely curvy. The snake is a show stopper!! I vote for #2. Only suggestion I have is to do just a tiny bit of dodging to bring out the head a little more from the background. Is that your arm?

Your second option is my choice of the two. It is curvy and it tells a story.

:oogle OMG! #2, Hands down!! rolleyes1.gif

I agree about doing just a little bit of dodging to bring some of the details out of the shadows.

The forked tongue is red, the apple is red ~

put the snakes head in bas relief and make the slightly red tongue a stronger complement to the red apple...

Someone did ask, "Who does that arm belong to?" Pet or pit viper?

    Thanks for the responses!

Nope...not my hand! That would be the hand of "Louie's" mommy. I did get to hold him though and he was very mild mannered (I've been told he was recently fed). :D

The snake shot is very nice.

It may be me but I'd like to see the darker side of the snake's head just a bit brighter.
    You did good.:D
