Combining or archiving older galleries?

I'm getting quite a few galleries up online but I don't want to "delete" the older ones because the photos are still being viewed.

Is there a way that I can create say.....a 2006 gallery and drop all the galleries into it, without having to delete and reload them all??

(I hope I said that right...)
