Two pics of my 2 month old...Comments Please!

Here are two pics of my two month old...I just bought a new Rebel Digital XT and have been taking tons of pics....please let me know what you think.

    agree with seneca...she doesn't look too keen on the flowers! :)

    Love the second one though. Awesome use of windowlight, the catchlights in her eyes really make the shot. Beautiful!!!

    I took the pic into Photoshop and made only a very slight Contrast adjustment before I Desaturated the pic. Do you think there was a better way to do it or something I should have done different to make it better?

    Are you familiar with The Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby.

    He has an excellent discussion about converting to b&w that I have had great results with. This book is practical and well put together. This book summarizing the B&W and a great many other techniques better than I ever could. Personally this book has shed a great deal of light (no pun intended) on the digital darkroom and helped me improve my workflow.
