Ladybug Changing

So, now that I found out what a ladybug larva looks like, I decided to see if any were changing. Found this young one going through the metamorphasis.

And, if you whisper sweet things in her ear, she does hand-stands!!!

Here you can see the new legs coming out at the top.

What a cool series David the larvae are quite ugly pre to becoming a Ladybug, didn't know they went from horizontal to vertical during the morphing that's pretty amazing.

This little was constantly doing handstands (headstands?) - up and down and up and down. I think she was stuck!!

Lovely captures of the lady bird pupa.
Think the standing on end is a defense mechanism - obviously took offence at what you were saying
