Pocket Wizard Plus Ii & Pentax Af-540fgz Flash

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to do what I'm trying to accomplish, since I've talked to Pentax Tech Support and apparently they've never heard of Pocket Wizards, and the Pocket Wizard Tech Support guy had never heard of the outlet types that are on the Pentax AF 540 Flash.

So here's the deal: I shoot with a Pentax K10D and I want to be able to wirelessly trigger the Pentax AF 540 fgz flash, off camera on a stand, with my Pocket Wizard Plus II. But it's my understanding that you need a sync cord to plug the flash into the pocket wizard. However, I can't seem to tell which sync cord might work with this flash and neither can Tech Support.

Pocket Wizard tech support suggested getting a hot shoe/pc adapter. I bought it (Nikon AS-15 sync terminal adapter: they said it worked with Pentax)and it clearly isnt going to do what I want. In order to do it that way, it seems i'd need a bracket to hold the flash and the adapter. Its actually adding more bulk to the situation and there arent enough holes for plugs and correct plugs for holes, etc yadda yadda. There's a high likelihood i just dont know what I'm doing but I have had a bit of experience with pocket wizards and it seems this should be straight forward. But what do i know.

So can anyone tell me how this might be done?? I'd be grateful for any help anyone can give. The sooner the better as I'd intended to use this set up this weekend.

I found the answer on my own.
I never did hear from anyone here. However, thanks to a gentleman at Acephoto.net, the photography store where i went today, he hooked me up and we tested it in the store and it works. So here is the answer.

You need a hotshoe adapter with a PC port, that the flash itself slides into, then the adapter part slides into the hotshoe piece on your light stand. The adapter they gave me the first time was the wrong kind. But I took all my camera gear into the store, showed him what i was trying to do and he very quickly solved my problem.

The hotshoe adapter I bought is made by Wein, and its called a Hot Shoe to Hot Shoe Safe Sync (HSHSB). On the back of the package it says Sync Connection/ standard PC-hotshoe.

It cost me $60.00 but as far as I'm concerned it was well worth it because it does allow me to travel lightly with a light stand, flash and pocket wizard.

    Hope that helps! :D
