Went out with the bigma which arrived around lunchtime for a quick test. The birds were not about due to the bad weather but managed to find this bloke drying his wings but also a bit shy...... he took off after I shot this. I have used 500mm mirror lens before, which are very light when compared to the Bigma 50-500. This new lens for me is yet another learning curve in the wonderful world of photography

clap.gif exciting to get a new lens! Nice job for the first run.
I am considering this lens too. Need 500mm and can't carry the canon 500. Good luck! I will keep an eye on your posts. Have fun.thumb.gif

Nice cormorant! Much better than mine. I blew most of the exposures when I shot some back in March.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
