Well My son Josh and I went with His Hiking Club yesterday to Slide Mountain (Phoenicia NY)
Smack dab in the middle of Catskill Park.
At 4180ft it's the tallest of the Catskill Mountains.
8 mile round trip to the top and back.
Only one place to look out and see anyting off the mountain.
This was it and yes it was buggy as hell up there.
Black flies were thick as thieves.....took me 2hrs to edit them out of these shots. (Black specks)
Kept buzzin around me and the lens.
Being 90F it was very hazy also that didn't make the best photo's!

    Amazing NONE!
Heard some Birds but it was so dense that you couldn't see em.
No Deer or even tracks.....lil Bear poo and some Racoon but that's it.
Saw a Toad Frog....Red salimander and someone saw a small snake...that's it.
Just to see the landscape....plants and the way they have grown and formed was worth the trip.
