I like the effect--almost looks like running water

Beautiful shot. But I can't forgive you for calling it a weed, that is Barley, the main ingrediant of my beloved Single Malt Whisky :booze :D

Maybe it's because you titled your post "Weeds" that you didn't get much response, but I don't really think so. Before I continue with this train of thought let me assure you that this picture is superb!!!. It is the only picture in this gallery today that I have responded to.

I think the reason you didn't get much response is that the nature of this picture is a considerable departure from what people normally expect when considering "photography". That does not mean that I think you should change your approach ... not at all! But consider with me for a moment that most people who are interested enough in photography to pursue it beyond the snapshot stage have been taught by the examples that we are assaulted with in the media daily that the stuff of picture post cards and calenders is the Holy Grail. You know the drill ... Huge mountains, blue skies and puffy clouds, magestic sea scapes and tropical resorts etc. While that is all fine, and many photographers do a fine job with that sort of thing, it's not all there is, and I find your sort of image to be particularly refreshing.

The point I'm trying to make is that an image like this which departs from the expected just catches a lot of people sideways.

Please continue thinking outside the box and using your vision so well!

Very nice. Love the bright yellows and dark greens -- and the flowing feel.

Reminds me a bit of this photo where there's not so much a "subject" as a "feel" to the photo.

Very nice shot. It resonates the same soothing feeling as cascading water captured with a slow shutter speed. Thanks for sharing.

    "weeds"
This sure looks like foxtail to me, it is a grassy weed that is very prolific in my pasture. Anyway, I think your picture is great, I like the texture it gives and I like the subtle colors. Great image !!clap.gif

Foxtail refers to many different types of grasses...one of which is Wild Barley (which is a weed grass).
