Well, I have to say that I'm pretty intimidated by all of you wonderful photographers out there, so I shy away from posting anything. This is my first time showing any photos, so I hope you like them. (It's okay if you don't - I'll be traumatized and never want to post again. ....j/k ;) )

These were all taken at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA a couple weekends ago. C&C welcome. :)

Some butterfly shots:

    What's with that eagles beak!?!

Shots look better than mine did a year ago.

Did you ever think of flipping this one over?

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I did think about flipping this photo but then thought it would look weird b/c the flower would look upside down. If it weren't for the stem at the bottom of the photo I would have done it. I will give it a try though, and see if still looks "right side up."

As for the eagle, he(?) actually belongs to the park. They (or someone) found him shortly after he was born and b/c of his curved beak he would not have been able to survive on his own, which is the only reason the park was allowed to keep him.

I appreciate your feedback - you take excellent photos! I'd love to get a macro one day soon so I can take better shots w/out cropping the heck out of them. Plus I've got a lot to learn in general.

Hi Dick - see a couple posts above about his beak. Am I wrong to wish it wasn't disfigured so he could have been a "pretty" bird? Well, I guess if the park didn't have him I never would have gotten the shot in the first place.

Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Thanks so much for the encouragement! Definitely helps bring down the intimidation factor. :D

Oh dear, the pressure. If I tiptoe away maybe no one will remember I was here. But seriously, I can post all the time. I'll just be commenting on how wonderful everyone's photos are. bowdown.gif
