http://www.wealthandhellbeing.com/skimonz/turoa.htm . This ski event is in August [ winter in New Zealand ] . I have contacted the organizers with the idea of taking pictures to sell on my new site www.dvdowns.quikpix.co.nz and they said I could send them a bunch of business cards and they will give one to each competitor . BUT : I have never taken my Nikons into those type of conditions before . My little canon S70 went to the top of this same mountain and stayed the night in a snow cave with me but I will be taking pictures of people climbing to three different spots and skiing back down and the competition will go ahead regardless of the weather . I just bought a 30" rain cover for my camera but was wondering if I should take the D50 and the 70-300 G lens or risk the D80 with the 70-200Vr 2.8 lens ?:scratch
