I thought that I would post one of my shots I got this last week. I love the intense look of the Eagle. He just kept staring! It's soft on the tip of his beak, but I was handholding my 100-400.

    Another Zoo Pict
Here is my brown bear picture. He was pacing and I just waited patiently til he walked back up on the rock. It was a fun day at the zoo overall.

    Thanks Harryb,
I have been on here since Feb. but I haven't posted much. I will do more posting and less lurking. I am around on Field & Street as well! I have a nice shot of Snoqualmie Falls there, but as Marc pointed out some photoshop work needs to be done. I haven't gotten to post on the Whipping Post yet, but that will be next. Have a wonderful day!

Welcome to DGrin! If you don't mind me asking where were those shots taken at? I went shooting 2 weeks ago at the Woodland Park Zoo north of Seattle and I got a couple of shots that look like very similar animals. Thought maybe you had been up my way!

Anyway, welcome to DGrin... Hope you enjoy yourself here!!

    Rhuarc,
That is exactly where I was last Friday. We were going to originally go on Saturday, until the forecast changed with more rain predicted, so we were there right at 9:30 on Friday. These were taken probably between 10- 10:30.
I love that area. I can't wait to go back and shoot over on the San Juan's again.
