I once saw someone set up their camera, and then walked away from it and the camera automatically took a picture about every 10 seconds. What is this feature called and on which cameras can I find it?

OK, I'm back.
On my Canon G3 it's called the "Intervalometer." Intervals, get it? On my camera, it's totally flexible. I can set any interval that I want, and it will keep shooting until the memory card's full, the battery's dead or the cows come home. Which is handy, if you're shooting cows.
I hope that helps.
