Alone in the Sun

I figured I should put this here instead of Field and Street because it's that sort of unusual image that upsets expectations as a landscape shot.
This was a real challenge and although the contrast was high enough to isolate the little tree, I had to increase contrest even more when I rendered the raw. I wanted the granite wall behind to be barely visible because the compression from a 600mm lens made it too obvious.
The picture is not about a tree but about light and form. It looks fabulous in 11x14 on our living room wall.

Thanks for looking,

I believe you!
These types of shots just cannot be adequately appreciated in web-size.
