I'm still here -busy with my folks visiting from the States. I did manage to get a few minutes to shoot ants out at the farm :wink

All Canon gear: Xti (manual mode F16, 1/200, ISO 200) + 62mm of extension tubes + 100mm macro lens + 500D diopter. MR-14 EX ring flash set to a 4:1 ratio and -1/3 FEC. Minimal post processing to remove the glare from the flash.

Thanks Awais! Those carpenter ants are from 8mm to 12mm in length. Big enough to take your picnic lunch and complain about the potato salad :D
