Well I know this is an older printer now but I don't really make any money on my prints YET! so I can't afford to go out and buy the newest and fastes printer out there and I like the results I get with my 2200, but what I was wondering is that it is so slow when it prints around I say 15 min to print a 5X7. I never really set any thing up when I bought this printer is there any settings I can change other than the quality of the print that might help speed up this printer?? I mean I know its not a fast printer, but 15 mins seems to be a long time for a print.

Thanks Paul

I'll confirm that's abnormally long to print a 5x7. No idea what/why though.

That's way too long. I don't know what your settings are, but on my mac, I can usually print an 8x10 in a few minutes.

I don't know the settings off-hand but I know that I have my printer head print in both directions which speeds things up without any noticeable degradation in quality.

USB or parallel printer cable? If parallel, is it a newer style bi-directional cable?
