Is there an easy way to point clients to a price list for a gallery before ordering?

Is there an easy way to point clients to a price list for a gallery before they create an order?

I like to know what pricing applies to products before I go to the trouble of creating an order and I'd like to do the same for my clients. I know that I could always add pricing information to the gallery description but that can be cumbersome and can easily get out-of-sync with the actual prices being charged. A link to a page showing the actual prices for a gallery would be great. Or code to create such a listing dynamically?

Thanks.

Indeed there is :) My Pro Wiki

which would lead you to several cool examples, including this one:

Protograper, if you are interested in setting this kind of pricing page up as Andy suggested, this is also an excellent case for a vanity URL where you can allow the user to type http://www.milesboyer.com/pricing and have them automatically taken to your pricing page, even if it's located at a page like http://www.milesboyer.com/gallery/825201.

See this thread for a discussion of how to implement a vanity URL in your site.

These pages, as good as they look, aren't what I meant. In all these cases, unless I have missed something, the prices have been hardcoded onto the pages involved. I wanted to avoid doing exactly that.

I was looking for a convenient way to display the pricing information that I have already entered via Pro Pricing. Why enter it again when it's already there? Besides, having the same information in more than one place leads to potential problems.

I was looking for a pre-configured Smugmug page that would, for each gallery specified, provide a listing of the prices that I am charging for that gallery. Better yet would have been the code needed to query the pricing part of the database so I could place this info anywhere (on Smugmug) that I please. Such pricing information could then
    1. be different for different galleries and
    2. be adjusted once in Pro Pricing and then be automatically reflected in the corresponding price list.
It's not a big thing but if it were available I thought I'd like to use it. Thanks.

I have been looking for exactly such an ability, not just for pricing but for galleries in general. Thanks very much for the info.

I would like to do a page like Miles'. I think his page is awesome? How can I get the cut-and-paste code to do this. I looked at your wiki, Andy... but couldn't find reference.
    Thanks much.

wave.gif no cut and paste needed :D It's just a gallery, forced to journal style in gallery customizing screen. Holler in the Customization forum if you need more help in making it pretty thumb.gif
