Went out to get some bird pixs but there were not a lot about...... arrived home and found a flock of these having afternoon tea on the new grass shoots of my front lawn...... easy pickings..... this image has had about a 50% crop as the birds were about 10-12 meters away

Rosella's are so pretty, I could hear them on the neighbours roof today,
complaining because I was cutting the fruit trees back in the yard,
and I'd put the bird seed out, but they were too scared to come and get it because I was too close to the food.

They have such a distinct chatter, and I know when they are in the yard,
because I can hear them talking to each other.

They were very pleased when I'd finished my yard duties and gone inside the house rolleyes1.gif

Thanks for sharing :D .... Skippy

Well, if you stayed home, we would have not enjoyed your pics. Does this bird belong to a parrot family? headscratch.gif

That's how it works out at times. On more than one occasion I've passed more subjects than I eventually found at my shooting location. Nice catch thumb.gif

and thanks Harry....... but after the big storms we have had, the feeding area's have changed, as locked lakes have drained and are now open to the sea and have become tidal again, till they lock up again, should bring a change of birds...... I hope
