#1 is awesome. I'm a cat person, so I love #5. THe color in #8 is really cool. The expression in #9 is priceless. #10 is absolutely beautiful. The coloring in #11 is quite fascinating. A terrific set! Thanks for posting them.

I'm not sure if it's better reading about the story behind the photo or imagining it-

I think I would like the 'backstory'-

if you look at these, they deserve more than a glance-

    enjoyed these very much!-

ps could you show the front of that guy's t-shirt?-

'Backstory' for which photo? Of the guy in the black t-shirt?

No real backstory there - I believe (although, not sure) - it's just a t-shirt which has to do with some Pink Floyd album - I thought he looked funny 'carrying' all those 'naked' ladies on his back... On some other forum, somebody made a comment which I find very funny - he said that if I could capture that guy's naked butt too, then the shot would be a real masterpiece (I agree, I agree!) - alas, the guy's butt wasn't naked and I can't show the front of his t-shirt either... :)

As for whether it's better to 'know' or to 'imagine' the story... I really don't know... guess - depends on which comes out better :)

Wonderful photos! #10 and #11 are my favorites. #10 is so beautiful. Maybe you could consider #11 for the LPS contest for sorrow? He just kind of has this sad look about him.

    Thank you for sharing!

    Thank you for knid words.

As for entering this sad old person into a contest - I am not much of a contestant (especially when it comes to photography), unfortunately.
