How to contour textures/materials over the human form?

For some time I've been wanting to combine nature materials or textures with the human form to do a "human/nature" series, but have not found out how to do this with Photoshop. Perhaps there is another program out there? Basically, I'd like to contour-wrap leaves, flowers or whatever over the body.

Would anyone who knows be willing to outright "show me" how you accomplished that, or point me to a tutorial or info source? Whatever you'd be willing to share would be appreciated. Thank you!

What you're looking for are tutorials on "displacement maps". If you google
for that phrase you'll find a ton of material out there.
