Smoking Fox

So I see this fine young fox walking down the road with a butt hanging out of her mouth. It always kills me to see them starting this young.
IMG_3433.jpg

Evidently, I wasn't the only one who noticed. Big brother casts a disdainful look.
IMG_3458.jpg

A scuffle ensues.
IMG_3434.jpg

The youngster learns where the expression "crafty as a fox" comes from.
IMG_3436.jpg

Big brother guards the offensive object for safe keeping.
IMG_3442.jpg

We can only hope that little fox has learned her lesson.

Thanks for looking,

Thanks, Ric. Actually I thought about you when I took these shots. You recently told a story about when you were a kid that the local foxes used to come and and play with you. Well, these were your foxes! Totally wild, and yet totally naive about humans. It was an extraordinary experience being near them.

Now stop that, Ric. rolleyes1.gifYou're too kind.

Actually, I'm waiting for this to percolate down a bit so that I can post more fox shots. I have enough of them for a few months I reckon.:ivar

Thanks, Russ. It's about time I found some wildlife to shoot. Of course I had to go to Colorado to find it. rolleyes1.gif

Now I'm in Page, AZ shooting things that don't move. rolleyes1.gif

Great shots! Are these the same animals that caused such an uproar in the UK when that fox hunting ban was proposed? headscratch.gif
