gallery count for category doesn't always show

On my galleries page -

- notice that right next to the thumbnail for the category "Sports" , it currently says that there are "4 galleries with 195 photos." But underneath that, next to the thumbnail for the category "School", it says nothing at all - even though there are 4 galleries in that category, as well. I cannot find a setting anywhere that seems to be pertinent. Is there a way to get this info to display (or not display) consistently? It would be nice to know how to make it show or hide - but for the moment, getting the count to show for all public categories would be great.

Check your gallery customize settings. It sounds like you have the gallery settings under "look & feel" set to clean. This will remove the update and number of galleries info. More info here: http://www.smugmug.com/help/picture-storage

Ah, that seems to be it. I must have been fiddling with this setting without ever realizing exactly what it did.

It does SEEM to me that, in order for a category listing to show the count of galleries, ALL of the galleries in that category must have that look and feel "clean" setting put to NO. One of the categories that wasn't showing the count of galleries on my site didn't show the count until I had changed that setting in all three of the galleries in the category. Is that right? Looks like I'll have to remember not to change that setting in new galleries in the future.
